We also recommend that while an engineer is on site that we carry out a Microwave Leakage and Safety Test. This in a nutshell ensures that the levels of radiation
being emitted from your microwave oven are within the recommended limits.
Microwave ovens are being used increasingly within workplace as a convenient and safe way of cooking food. However, faults can occur and unless periodically tested
they may become a health and safety hazard without you being aware.
Lack of cleanliness, damage and poor maintenance of the door seals could result in radiation leakage levels in excess of the recommended limit.
Microwave Leakage Test:
Testing of the unit involves measurement of the radiation levels around the oven using microwave detection equipment to ensure compliance with legal
limits.
Following our comprehensive PAT test the following will be carried out:
- Full visual inspection to include: outer casing. Inner casing, door interlocks and all seals.
- Microwave Leakage detection test using the latest (calibrated) Martindale leakage equipment.
- Detailed labelling on equipment following the testing.
